Sharing the product catalogue
Since the wi-bo.com portal is not the only project on the Sitecore XP platform that we have implement for the LINET Group, it uses a so-called shared product data catalogue. This is the source of product data for all of the company's web pages that run on the Sitecore XP platform, from the micro-sites to the internal web application, like the Extranet, to the company's main web presentation. Its structure is created in Sitecore XP, it is custom tailored and fully follows the diversity of the products.
Extending the Sitecore XP platform
The editors working in the CMS had a special request. Their request was to have the possibility to conveniently place a description of the product's functionalities and features directly below the product's pictures that are published on the web pages. We replaced the obsolete solution, when the editors had to assign the placement of points in the pictures using a coordinate system, with our extended Sitecore XP platform user interface, where all the editor has to do is click to choose the placement directly in the picture, add the text and publish the entry.
What the portal looks like
The customer took care of the graphic design of the portal himself and we took care of the creating the templates and implementing them into Sitecore XP.
